LEPL Community College ,,Akhali Talga” was set up in 1963 as a technical professional institution, where people were trained in the field of construction. In 1976 it became N90 Technical institution andin 1985, a technical professional institution. Between 1995-2006 it  became vocational training centre as a result of education reforms.

Since 2006, in addition toconstruction field representatives, the college has started training specialists in tourism sphere: hotel management, restaurant management, front-office specialists, bartenders, cooks, confectioners, guides and tour-operators.

In 2011 renewal/rehabilitation of material-technical base was carried out in the college. It was authorized and given the right to implement 52 different professions, among them IV-V level educational programs. These mentioned programs included the  fields of construction, tourism, business administration, medical, IT and CISCO academy.

Since 2015  the college has been involved in working out modular educational programs. Within two years material-technical base was improved in the college and the college implemented  the  purchaseof equipment in accordance with the standards for 29 modular educational programs.

Today the college is authorized for 52 educational programs (among them 29 modular) and trains 1700 vocational students. The college’s material-technical base responds to the requirements of modern standards. The college has an adapted environment for persons with disabilities, student accommodations,and  a hotel. Together with budget and long time programs the college implements short time training courses ordered by individuals, governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The college constantly strives for quality improvement. It is involved in all implemented projectsin Georgia. In 2016 the college was one of the first passed quality/management European model validation of EFQM and carries on working for advancing stages EFQM validation.

Current year news – Joint international programs with Estonian colleges.

The college employs 94  highly qualified teachers. Most of the teachers are invited from the respective businesses and their training was implemented inGeorgia and abroad,within projectsas well as with the help of foreign partners.

International students exchange programs are permanently implemented. The college is distinguished with a high percentage of employment of its graduates.

Resulting from the applicants requirements, the college planned and will open a branch in Batumi in May 2017.
